I received my very first blog award today!!
I'm so excited!
The beautiful Vicki from My Vickilious Life awarded it to me! -Be sure to check out her blog! She's absolutely beautiful, brilliant, amazing, talented, and just plain ol' wonderful! Love you, dear!
Thank you Miss Vicki! |

- Share 7 things about yourself
- Pass this award along to 15 recently discovered blogs.
7 Things About Myself:
- I love Jesus Christ with all my heart + soul. If it weren't for Him - I honestly don't know where I would be. He provides me healing, hope, love, wisdom - EVERYTHING - on a consistent basis.
- I live in Florida - love the beaches... but I adore the cold weather. I'd take cold weather over hot, any day. Boots, scarves, cute jackets...yes please!
- I have a cat, Buddy, who I miss so much. He still lives at my parent's house - can't have a cat where I am. I've had him since 1996 - he's an old man! Love him so much!
- I lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for six months...six amazing months. While there, traveled to Ireland, England, Paris...had the time of my life! If all of my family and friends would move there - I would move back in a heartbeat.
- I was a vegetarian for about ten years. There is both a story as to why I became one and why I stopped - perhaps a blog post one day.
- I pray that one day I will be an exceptional mother. I am so excited for that day! Excited...and scared. I cannot wait for the day to start a family!
- I'm tall for a woman...5'8.5". I didn't like wearing heels for the longest time because I felt like a giraffe when I would go out with my friends (who were all shorties!) I felt embarrassed - like I stuck out too much. Now, even though V is shorter than me, I try to embrace my height!

Thanks guys!
Hi Cami! Congratulations!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are right - what a surprise!
I hope you're deserving your much-deserved recognition!
A big-hearted thank you for including me in your list! How sweet!
Loved reading your "7" items - have a lot in common - I have to get to England/Ireland!
Also, I always wanted to be YOUR height - I have to always wear high heels - I'm five feet!
Many blessings to you for a wonderful day! Enjoy it all!
And, thanks again!

ReplyDeletestopping by through this weekend's "Spicy Weekend Hop" & new follower! hope you stop by and visit - www.blenifer.com.
have a great weekend!
#2- cold weather YUCK haha We are from western new york where winter is the longest season of the year. I don't mind some snow or some cold...but being dumped on by tons of snow and freezing for too many months (and countless halloween costumes being hidden by winter gear) I have grown a minor hatred towards it. But... I wouldn't mind a little of it every now and then. I love summer and beaches but there is a place for all the seasons!
ReplyDelete#4- that sounds like an AMAZING time! When I was in college I considered studying abroad but chickened out. So I thought of doing a national exchange and chickened out of that too. I regret it sometimes but realize that those decisions brought me to where I am now, so it all worked out. Someday we want to travel to other countries... someday!
Congrats on the award and thank you!
ReplyDeleteI was strictly vegan for 3 years (back before it was popular - this was 10 years ago). Story to that too. I still eat tons of veggies, but incorporate small amounts of meat too now.
Congratulations on the award!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you back now from scathingweekly.blogspot.com
Congrats!! Thanks for picking me as one of the 15!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I still don't wear heels.. the last time I did, and they weren't very high, was at our wedding 13 years ago! I'm already 6' so I really don't like wearing them! Plus I'm clumsy! lol
Congrats on the award and thank you so much for passing it along to me =)
ReplyDeleteOh Cami,
ReplyDeleteI was so glad when you chose our blog to share your award with. That is such an honor, and I'm so happy for you too. I will have to check out "My Vickilous Life" now. You know, I am also 5'8", and I used to love to wear heels, but now I think I would fall flat on my face if I wore them too high. You are such a special person, and my heart sings that you love Jesus so much. He is my best friend who I love and trust with everything. Your Post made my day and put a smile on my face on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. Take care, my friend.

Yay! Thanks for the award Cami! I wish we lived near a beach at least, especially right now with all this heat! I do think I'd really miss winter at Christmastime though. We are taking Aubrey to Florida next summer for our first big family vacation, and I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to visit Europe. You are super lucky! You are a such a sweetheart,so I you will make a great mom!!
Amy
Congrats on the award and thank you so much for awarding me. I am truly touched. I loved reading your seven things, especially #1. I have received this award before and answered questions then (http://justabeachkat.blogspot.com/2010/09/just-wondering.html) so I'll break the rules and not do it this time, but I'll post the award on my blog and add your name and the date to the award in my awards folder on my blog. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kat

newest follower from blog hop. would love a follow back! saw you were a psych major (I was an msw before I went into real estate)! xo, laura
ReplyDeleteAww, that's so sad you can't have your kitty where you are. At least your parents are taking good care of him!
ReplyDeleteI am super tall, too! I was 5'11 but having a baby somehow shrunk me an inch. o_O I never ever wear heals because I'm the exact same height as my husband. I don't mind that but I'd feel so weird being taller than him for some reason! I need to try to do what you're doing an embrace it.
Hi from a new follower! Congrats on your first award! At one time I was the same way about being short. I thought I had to wear heals. Like you, I now accept and embrace my height and enjoy wearing flats when I want to :)
