I really want to post a photo for you, but I am freaking out searching google images...it's giving me the heebie jeebies!
Ok, so, you ready?
One of my biggest fears is being in the shower, getting clean, & a cockroach coming up the drain or being on the toilet & a bug somehow coming up & biting your boot.
I'm not sure if these fears are completely ridiculous or if others have them too?
If I see a bug in the house...even if we get rid of it...my mind automatically goes to those two things.
SO, instead of opening the shower curtain and making sure no one is in there (which I used to do as a kid...HA!) I make sure there are no bugs anywhere. And when I go sit on the toilet, I always open it first to make sure there are no signs of creepy crawlers.
Anyone else have any crazy fears like this??!
Please say yes so I don't feel so crazy. ;)
I'm horribly afraid of spiders, and I'm always freaked out one is going to get me in my sleep. I mean, how will I defend myself when I'm sleeping and don't even know the spider is there? So I always pull the covers back and check to make sure there are none in the bed before I get in at night. Can't be too careful :)
ReplyDeleteYes. I have a terrible fear of .... fish. Seeing fish, smelling fish, touching fish, eating fish.. all of this freaks me out. Like, hands shaking, heart pumping freaks me out. I have what I like to call "a mental allergy." Although I always just say I'm allergic to fish when at a restaurant to make sure nothing on my plate has been anywhere near a fish ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I definitely have some irrational fears so I sympathizev
ReplyDeletehaha! i am with you about the toilet thing! i think i saw a movie as a kid that someone got bit by some creature on the toilet and for the longest time i was scared to go to the bathroom during the middle of the night, we're talking like 10 years! haha
ReplyDeleteI am laughing so hard that I'm crying! I am beyond scared that something will crawl up the toilet and bite my arse! I saw an X-Files YEARS ago where a creature would lurk in outhouses ready to attack its next victim. I ALWAYS check the toilet out first now...doesn't matter where I am. lol
ReplyDeleteHahaha YESSSSS! I do the same thing!! I hate flushing bugs down the toilet cuz I'm always terrified they will crawl back up!
ReplyDeleteYES! Ever since moving to FL I've had too many scares with roaches and giant spiders to not take it seriously lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny. I'm not afraid of spiders and generally leave them alone in the house but I hate when I see one in the shower. My real life big fear is heights. I've had panic attacks. Ridiculous. Being up high cannot hurt me!
ReplyDeleteI am sooo afraid that when I am sitting on the toilet that a SNAKE will come up & bite me!!! I am so with you! You should invent a toilet cockroach/snake catcher. haha
ReplyDeleteI'm terrified of spiders, and I'm always afraid that one will drop down on me while I'm in the shower. And Snakes on the Plane has made me afraid that they will strike out of any dark corner.
ReplyDeleteYou are hysterical! Bugs are gross, but I'm not scared to get rid of them!
ReplyDeleteUhm yeah. I'm pretty sure all bugs are going to try and crawl into my mouth. If I see one and it gets away, I won't sleep. Also if we end up getting rid of one, I think the other bugs will know and crawl into my mouth in retaliation.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, whenever I see a bug, I'm scared if it isn't killed, I will end up eating it in my sleep lol. And when in the bathroom, I always have to pull the shower curtain back to make sure nobody's in there.
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone, Cami! :)

I have a CRAZY fear of spiders in doorways and above my head. On the floor, fine. But I'm afraid of them dropping on my head. One almost dropped on my face one time from a doorway, and ever since then, I check doorways and walk through them like a paranoid person. My neighbors must think I'm nuts.
ReplyDeleteI am the exact same way! I also had a fear of a rat coming out of the toilet! It freaks me out! Bugs and rodents are my major fears!
ReplyDeletexo,

I'm not a fan of bugs either! Ugh! I'm always afraid that even the ones without wings will somehow lunge at me, eeeek!
