Instead of buying buttermilk for a recipe, you can easily make a substitute with this quick recipe!
All you need is: a cup of milk and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice (I've never done the white vinegar, but I know the lemon juice works!)
You place a tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup. Add enough milk to bring it up to the 1 cup line. Then you let it stand for 5 minutes and then add the amount you need to your recipe!
