Naturally. ;-)
No, but seriously. It always makes me feel SO special - and not just because of delicious cake, but because of all of the phone calls, text messages, hugs, visits, etc. from friends and family. Some people that we have not been able to meet up because of busy lives but then the birthday is a perfect time.
My birthday was on Sunday. What a special celebration it was!
Friday night, we went to V's grandparents house for our typical Friday night dinner - but there was a celebration involved as well.
The day prior, we went to a vegetarian/vegan raw food place in St. Augustine that I had been wanting to try. It was extremely delicious and a very neat atmosphere. Then we went to a wine tasting nearby and hung out on the roof-top overlooking St. Augustine. And still, the celebration did not end there! We went back home and met up with some more friends out at dinner.

On my actual birthday I was able to get some much needed cleaning done and enjoyed a dinner meal with my family.

I've been wanting to check out that winery! I'm hoping to make it up there and to downtown St. Augustine sometime this fall :)

ReplyDeleteI'm a little late with the Birthday wishes, but they are sent with lots of love. It looks like you had a special day with your family. The chocolate torte with bananas looks so yummy. The Birthday pictures are very nice, and always a reminder of this special day with your loved ones.
